We received an urgent call about two large cobras stuck inside a well for over 10–15 days. Upon reaching, we noticed a narrow groove near the well where they were hiding. With the monsoon approaching, we placed a basket and a bamboo branch inside the well, hoping they would climb out.
Days passed. The rain began. The water level rose rapidly, flooding the grooves and cutting off their shelter.
Luckily, the basket and branches we left earlier became their only refuge. As the water kept rising, the urgency grew. It became clear—if we didn’t act fast, they wouldn’t survive.
What followed was 2.5 hours of intense effort, teamwork, and patience. And finally… success! We rescued both cobras safely and released them back into the wild, close to where they were found.
It was one of the most challenging and beautiful rescues we’ve done—a reminder of nature’s fragility and our responsibility to protect it.
