We received a call about a kite that had been grounded after heavy rains and storms. It was completely drenched and unable to fly. When we reached the spot, we noticed stray dogs trying to attack it—leaving it there wasn’t an option.

We safely brought the bird in and immediately got X-rays done to check for any internal injuries or wing damage. Thankfully, everything looked fine. It was confirmed to be in good health by Dr. Yashaswi. The poor bird was just soaked to the bone, and the weight of the wet feathers had grounded it.

We kept the kite with us for a day, ensured it was dry, and fed it properly. After some rest and recovery, it finally regained its strength—and with a graceful lift, it flew back into the skies where it truly belongs.

Moments like these remind us why every rescue counts.
