It was just another regular day when we got an urgent call—someone had spotted a cobra hiding inside a firewood boiler. This kind of hideout is unusual but not unheard of, especially in rural or semi-urban areas where snakes often seek warmth and shelter.
Without wasting a moment, we geared up and rushed to the spot. Sure enough, nestled deep within the firewood stack of the boiler, was a healthy cobra. The situation was tricky—not only was the space confined, but the dry wood posed a risk if the snake became agitated.
Staying calm and focused, we carefully used a snake hook to lift the cobra out of its hiding place. With steady hands, we slowly guided it toward a pipe and into the rescue bag, ensuring both our safety and the cobra’s.
The entire rescue was smooth, quick, and effective—just the way it should be when experience meets preparedness.
Once secured, we took the cobra to a nearby natural habitat, away from human settlements. There, in a safe and familiar environment, we released it back into the wild—where it belongs.
Every rescue reminds us of the delicate balance between humans and wildlife, and the responsibility we carry in maintaining that harmony.
